Young adulthood is the time where believers' roots are forged, deepened, and strengthened... Or they are ripped out and you find yourselves adrift in a world who stores their treasures on Earth instead of in Heaven. We at SBT are here to make sure all young adults at any stage of their faith can find their footing with like-minded people who know the struggle.

The transition from being young to suddenly being viewed as a "young adult," or even just an adult at all, can be extremely hard and trying. We are blessed here at Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle to tell you.... You are not alone.
Our Mission
SBT Rooted Young Adults mission is to help young adults grow deep roots in Christ, build authentic Christian community, and step confidently into lifelong discipleship and service within the church and the world.
Our Vision
Our vision is to see a generation of young adults firmly rooted in Scripture, grounded in the local church, and equipped to stand strong in their faith while impacting their families, workplaces, campuses, and communities for Christ.

Sunday Discipleship Group
No matter where you are in your walk with Jesus, this is the time we meet everyone where they are. This time of study and discussion is the time to understand everything from how the seed of salvation is planted, to understanding the scope of how far our roots reach. This is where we ask questions of each other, encourage one another, and strive to root ourselves in a faith and a Savior that will be with us and strengthen us.

Bible Study & Discussion
Wednesday nights are for time spent in the main sanctuary where we will take the time to learn in depth about the different themes of Scripture. First by hearing the Word, then spending time diving into it.
The Word has been here since the beginning, and the Word is Jesus. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1.
Periodically, we will do excursions where we can GO and disciple to others on Wednesdays.

Nights during the week can be hard with school, work, or just general schedules. We are here to meet the need of our young adults to have activities that allow us to deepen our Christ-like relationships so we can all deepen our walks with Jesus by encouraging one another. There may even be a devotion in there or two from the group!
